Introduce Holocaust Photo Essay -- pass out directions/look at examples/begin research DUE MAY 19th Quiz grade.  If you are going on the DC trip, the assignment is Due MAY 18th.  If you turn it in after you return from DC, it will have an accessed late grade.

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1: Find 1 online photo
1. Go to www.ushmm.org
2. Click on “Menu” (upper left corner).
3. Then click on the “Research and collections” link.
4. Then click on the “Collections Search” link.
5. In the middle of the page, choose the “Photograph” icon.  There are over 32,000 pics available.
6. In the search box at the top of the page: type the word “Jews” first, and then type in key words to sift through the photos (So for example-  Jews swimming, Jews birthday party, Jews family beach, Jews picnic, Jews vacation, etc….). Click “search” to generate a list of pics with your search words.  On the left side of the page, it tells you the number of pics that contain your search words.
